Hiking the Santa Ana mountains

Driving into the the Santa Ana montains. A 30 minute drive inland from home.

A nice day for a walk in christmas time. Trabuco trail.

Ulrika reading the map.
The mountain top in the background is Santiago peak, at 5687 ft.
For reference this peak is visible in the panorama taken from our backyard.

Another day we went out with our friends Corinne and Herman.
Same mountains, but a couple of valleys to the north.

Herman and Hans feel confident at the start of the hike...

...and so do Corinne and Ulrika.

Lunch time.

Aloe is supposed to be good for your skin, but maybe in a refined form...

On our way back down to the car in the afternoon sun.
