Kauai, February 20

We woke up at 6am when Linn was woken up by the sun. View from our balcony.

We drove to the north and wet side of the island.

We don't really know what they grow here, but it sure is pretty...

Arriving at Ha'ena Beach we stopped for lunch

and a look at one of the many caves in the area.

The goal of the day was a hike along the north-west coast line, on Kalalau trail.
This is the only way to access this lush part of the island from land.

Start of the trail.
The vegetation is incredible due to all rain. It is difficult to see where one plant ends and the next begins.

Steep start...

...leading up to some spectacular views!

Ke'e Beach.
As far as you can get by car.

Watch your step!

Green, green, green. This was a nice spot for a short picnic break.

The Na Pali Coast. There is a trail there somewhere we'd like to hike one day... This is where we turned around .

Linn is wide awake after a nap on Hans' back.

We came back to the hotel just in time for "Happy Hour". Free drinks!

A relaxing swim in the pool.
Linn tried on her new swim/sunprotecting clothes, but she thought the water was too cold...
